About the role:
The technical engineering role provides expertise and support in value selling to Sales, based on extensive technical knowledge and experience in the Industrial market. It supports field-based technical service needs and plays a key role in developing value propositions for new customer sales opportunities, as well as preventing the loss of existing business under competitive threat.
Key Accountabilities:
* Demonstrate safety leadership and ensure HSSE standards are maintained
* Support internal and external customers as an industrial application expert
* Assist division sales teams in acquiring new business
* Provide high-quality technical training to partners
* Work with sales to deliver efficient solutions for customer process and product issues using sound problem-solving techniques
* Collaborate with Technology and Marketing on new product development and field feedback
* Coordinate with Global Product Managers to provide local market insights and requirements
* Document and share case studies highlighting benefits from Castrol products and services
* Conduct field testing of new and reformulated Castrol products and services
* Participate or lead projects supporting the Industrial strategy
* Mentor and train less experienced salespeople and engineers
* Analyze Used Oil Analysis reports to support informed decision-making
Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent (Mechanical, Chemical, Lubrication, Manufacturing, or related fields)
Experience:
* Minimum 5 years of industrial technical experience
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Salesforce, and related tools
* Expertise in Metalworking fluids and High-Performance Lubricants across various market segments
* Strong value selling and social skills
* Knowledge of sustainability topics (energy savings, water reuse, net zero) is preferred
* Skilled in structured problem-solving techniques
