Quality Control Manager (Spain - Barcelona/Madrid)

Description
We are seeking a meticulous and quality-focused Quality Control Manager to join one of our largest integral accounts. Embedded within the client delivery team, you will ensure that all supplier output meets the highest standards of brand integrity, technical accuracy, and executional excellence.
You will work closely with client services, creative, and production teams—both remotely and on-site—to safeguard quality across the production lifecycle, from pre-production proofs to final delivery. This role is essential to maintaining operational excellence, protecting the client’s brand, and driving continuous improvement across all activations.
This role is based in Spain, ideally for candidates local to our Madrid or Barcelona offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-production, on-site, and post-production quality control checks with suppliers
- Review artwork, print proofs, prototypes, and final outputs to ensure brand, print, and technical compliance
- Provide guidance and technical support to internal teams and clients
- Identify and resolve quality issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, specifications, and client expectations
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and identify training or process gaps
- Maintain accurate quality reports and audit records to ensure transparency and governance
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proven experience in print production, POSM, Quality Control, or supplier management
- Strong knowledge of print, finishing, colour proofing, pre-press, and production standards
- Experience working directly with suppliers, production houses, and creative/technical teams
- Understanding of quality assurance frameworks and production documentation standards
- Hands-on experience with QC tools, artwork platforms, or colour management software is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail, solutions-focused mindset, and ability to manage multiple quality checks
- Calm under pressure, proactive, collaborative, and accountable
- Must be based in-market with willingness to travel locally for on-site supplier inspections
