Grupo Ganaderos de Fuerteventura (Quesos Maxorata) started in the 1980s as a goat farmers' cooperative. Today, it is a second-generation family business and the leading producer of Majorero cheese with a Protected Designation of Origin (DOP), the emblematic cheese of Fuerteventura island.
Grupo Ganaderos de Fuerteventura is seeking a Maestro/a Quesero/a with extensive cheese-making experience for its factory located in Tuineje.
Mission
* Plan daily production with the Production Manager and produce cheeses accordingly.
* Assist the Production Manager with delegated management tasks.
Responsibilities:
* Manage staff within the production area.
* Control cleanliness and temperatures of tanks, pasteurizers, silos, etc.
* Plan and ensure adherence to production schedules.
* Set times and productivity levels to optimize profitability and quality.
* Comply with hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
* Ensure machinery, tools, and safety mechanisms are functioning properly.
* Complete manufacturing reports, daily milk intake records, and profitability reports.
* Process incoming milk within quality deadlines.
Candidate Profile:
* Training in cheese-making.
* Training in good manufacturing practices.
* Training in food handling.
* 3 to 5 years of prior experience.
