The System Safety Engineer will be part of the Digital Engineering (DE) Innovation Hub, a integral initiative with the mission of supporting Boeing's transition to Digital Engineering.

Familiarity with safety analysis, product security analysis, or hazard assessments will greatly benefit you in this role.Position ResponsibilitiesProviding safety analysis and product securityexpertise to program stakeholders and leadershipUtilize Model Based Engineering / Digital Engineering tools to analyze architectures / designs and develop safety deliverables.Conduct research in the area of systems engineering, systems safety and product security, with emphasis in Model Based Safety Analysis (MBSA), Product Security Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) processes, methods, training and tools.Basic QualificationsBachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry or related fieldMinimum of 5 years' relevant experience in Systems Safety, Product Securityand / or Systems Engineering.Experience with ARP****A, DO-326 / DO-356, ARP****B, MIL-STD-882E or similarFluent in both verbal and written EnglishAble to travel both domestically and internationallyMust be legally able to work in EuropePreferred Qualifications1+ years of experience performing system safety analysis.
Working knowledge of Hazard Analyses, FMEA's, Airplane Level Threats (Particular Risk Analyses) and Fault Trees and / or System Safety Assessments (SSAs).1+ years of experience with commercial airplane certification, safety requirements and proceduresExperience with FAR Part *******, and industry practices like ARP****, ARP****, DO-326 / DO-*****+ years of experience in Commercial Airplane-Systems design or analysis (e.g. Flight Controls, Hydraulics, Avionics, Fuels, etc.) or Systems IntegrationModel Based Safety Analysis (MBSA), Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Model Based Engineering application and toolsets (such as MATLAB Simulink, SCADE, Cameo, Rhapsody, CAFTA, PTC Windchill, 3DX, etc.)Excellent collaboration skills and experience with Agile methodologiesPilots license is a plus.RelocationThis position does not offer relocation.
