We are currently seeking an experienced Head Sommelier to join COYA. This is a seasonal position and is advertised for future openings.
Experience required:
- Certified sommelier or equivalent of WSET, Level 3 preferred
- Solid knowledge of French and New World wines, especially South American and North American wines
- Attention to detail and excellent customer service skills
- Team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work under pressure
- Good command of English and Spanish, with confident communication skills
- Commitment to personal development and a passion for working with people
- Ability to compose wine lists to maximize guest satisfaction, profit, and recognition
- Experience in creating, maintaining, and developing wine stocks, sales, and lists according to company direction
- Ability to meet sales targets, analyze sales data, and ensure stock rotation and profitability
- Experience sourcing wines and establishing relationships with suppliers
- Managing wine administration efficiently
