BESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer – Utility Scale ProjectsPosition OverviewThe
BESS Delivery & Service Manager / Engineer (Utility Scale) is responsible for the execution and lifecycle support of
large-scale battery energy storage projects
after the project is secured by the sales and presales teams. The role manages the
technical delivery, commissioning, and operational support
of utility-scale BESS projects.
Key Responsibilities1. Project Handover from Sales / PresalesTake ownership of projects after
commercial contract closure
.Review project scope including:System designGrid requirementsPerformance guaranteesProject schedulesAlign with customers and internal teams on project execution strategy.2. Project Execution & DeliveryManage the
full lifecycle delivery of utility-scale BESS projects
.Coordinate with EPC contractors, integrators, and equipment suppliers.Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.Ensure compliance with technical specifications, grid requirements, and safety standards.Manage project risks and coordinate issue resolution.3. Commissioning & Grid IntegrationOversee commissioning of utility-scale BESS including:System energizationGrid compliance testingPerformance testingWork with grid operators and technical partners to complete system integration.Ensure successful handover to operations.4. Operations Support & Service ManagementCoordinate
post-commissioning support and service activities
.Manage long-term service plans and preventive maintenance.Monitor system performance and coordinate troubleshooting if needed.Interface with OEM technical teams for system diagnostics.5. Stakeholder CoordinationAct as the primary technical contact between:CustomersEPC contractorsOEM suppliersInternal teamsEnsure smooth communication and alignment across stakeholders.
Qualifications~ Degree in
Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Energy Engineering
, or related field.~5–10 years experience
in utility-scale renewable energy or power infrastructure projects.~ Experience with
large-scale BESS, solar + storage, or grid infrastructure
preferred.~ Strong understanding of:~ Grid integration~ Power systems~ Energy management systems~ High-voltage systems
SkillsStrong project management and coordination skillsKnowledge of grid compliance and power system integrationAbility to manage multiple technical stakeholdersStrong problem-solving abilityWillingness to travel to project sites
