PRole: Safety Engineer /ppbr/ppSafety Engineer is a project-based role within the construction organization, responsible for Health Safety management during construction and installation activities. /ppbr/ppThe role ensures that contractors, suppliers and the Project Management Company implement HS requirements in compliance with Spanish legislation, project standards and Owner’s requirements. /ppbr/ppThe position focuses on execution, coordination and control on site, working in close collaboration with Corporate EHS, without replacing or duplicating its governance or corporate responsibilities. /ppbr/ppbKey Responsibilities /b /ppbKick-off Stage /b /ppTranslate Corporate EHS policies and standards into project-specific Saftey requirements for construction activities. /ppDefine Health Safety requirements for contractors and suppliers in coordination with GIC and Corporate EHS. /ppCoordinate with competent authorities as the Owner’s project HS representative, as required. /ppAlign HS planning with the PMC and the legally appointed Health Safety Coordinator. /ppbr/ppbExecution Stage /b /ppLead on-site HS supervision and coordination on behalf of Construction Team /ppMonitor contractor compliance with applicable laws, project requirements and approved HS documentation. /ppReview contractors’ HS documentation (Construction HS Plans, RAMS, JSAs) and monitor implementation. /ppCoordinate daily with Construction and Site Management teams to integrate HS into execution planning. /ppPay special attention to high-risk industrial activities, including heavy lifting, electrical works, hot works and interface risks typical of battery manufacturing plant construction. /ppEnsure that construction processes and safety documentation comply with legal, contractual and project requirements. /ppCarry out site inspections, audits and safety walks, escalating deviations through GIC project channels. /ppCoordinate corrective actions with contractors, PMC and CSS. /ppSupport incident investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented. /ppReport HS performance and critical risks to Project Management and Corporate EHS. /ppEscalate critical HS risks and recommend work suspension through GIC / GEC project governance channels in case of serious or imminent danger. /ppbClose-out Stage /b /ppEnsure construction-related HS documentation and deliverables required for handover are complete and compliant. /ppCoordinate with Corporate EHS to ensure alignment with operational and commissioning HS requirements. /ppSupport final inspections, audits and regulatory reviews related to construction safety. /p
