Digital Birds Agency is launching a new Innovative Travel Tech Startup that is part of the World Tourism Organization Academy: Localbird is a digital and innovative eco‑traveling startup. It connects local communities with international eco‑travelers through an innovative platform of local experiences and an interactive map of hidden gems that improve the positive impact of tourism in the local environment. The startup is for people who like to travel locally and want to discover places and new cultures, and for locals who want to open their horizons and make international connections.
The candidate will be a curious and passionate developer interested in growing professionally, respectful of the work of the rest of the team and encouraging teamwork online and in person. Knowledge in mobile development and interest in sustainable tourism and digital innovation are highly valued. The candidate will collaborate in the development of the mobile application for the Travel Tech Company and will gain strategic experience in product growth, user engagement, and technical architecture throughout the internship.
Responsibilities
* Developing and maintaining mobile applications: building new features, fixing bugs, and optimizing application performance.
* Collaborating with cross‑functional teams: working with designers, product managers, and other developers to deliver high‑quality applications.
* Writing clean, efficient, and well‑documented code: following best practices and contributing to a maintainable codebase.
* Optimizing application performance: ensuring the application runs smoothly and efficiently on different devices.
* Testing and deploying applications: ensuring the application is thoroughly tested and released to app stores.
* Participating in code reviews: providing constructive feedback to other developers and ensuring code quality.
* Designing and implementing user interfaces: creating visually appealing and user‑friendly interfaces.
