NORC partners with government, corporate, and nonprofit clients around the world to conduct survey research that informs critical decisions facing society.
- NORC Field Data Collectors, internally known as field interviewers, play a significant role in collecting the data that drives our research.
- Available to work a flexible, part-time schedule. Our most successful interviewers typically dedicate 4-6 hours a day to working on their assignments.
- Self-starter who can manage, organize, and commit to their own work schedule.
- Enjoys meeting new people from diverse backgrounds and professions.
- Has field interviewing, sales, hospitality, marketing, financial, real estate, tax preparation, teaching, or customer service experience.
**Requirements For Employment**
- **Ability to speak, read, and write in Spanish and English.**:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule of 15 - 25 hours per week.
- Must be comfortable contacting people in-person at their homes, often without notice. Adaptable availability to work a mix of weekdays, and evenings/weekends often to reach people who are not home during the work week.
- Valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and access to reliable transportation.
- Must be willing to drive 50 miles or more round trip to complete required task**.**:

- Must attend all virtual and in-person training sessions.
- Have ability to travel for 3 day in-person training sessions located in Greater Chicago, NYC, or Los Angeles area.

**Salary And Benefits**
This position is classified as intermittent. The pay range for this position will be **$19.00 - $28.41**per hour, based on experience and geographic location.
- **Field Interviewers working on the 2025 SCF project are eligible to earn an additional $50 - $100 biweekly, if required training and performance standards are met and maintained**.
- NORC will contribute to an individually owned, fully vested retirement account with TIAA at a rate of $4.93 for each hour worked, and contributions will be made on a quarterly basis.
- Intermittent staff are eligible to make pre-tax or post-tax contributions as part of NORC’s Supplemental Retirement Plan.
- Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. The pay range for field interviewers in California is $19.00-$28.81 per hour. The starting rate for field interviewers in California is $19.00/hour.
