PbSenior Technical Asset Manager (Wind solar). /b /ppbr/ppVelto Renewables (Velto), a Pan- European IPP backed by La Caisse (Caisse de Dépôt et Placement de Québec), is looking for a Senior Technical Asset Manager to join its team in Madrid, Spain, and work closely with the Head of Asset Management and the Portfolio Managers. /ppbr/ppVelto owns and operates more than 130 solar photovoltaic projects in Spain and France, with a total installed capacity exceeding 607 MW. These assets generate over 936 GWh of clean energy annually, enough to power more than 266,000 homes, while avoiding over 77,000 tons of CO₂ emissions each year. Additionally, Velto provides asset management services for La Caisse’s 25% investment in London Array, one of the world’s largest offshore wind farms. Located 20 km off the coast of Kent, this 630 MW project produces over 2,300 GWh annually, preventing 287,500 tons of CO₂ emissions each year. /ppbr/ppThis role will perform technical asset management activities for offshore wind farm UK-based together with a regulated solar PV operating portfolio in Spain. /ppbr/ppThe successful candidate will be instrumental in optimizing energy production and revenues, identifying cost reduction initiatives, and ensuring the availability, transparency, and actionable use of information across both solar and wind technologies. /ppbr/ppbResponsibilities /b /ppbr/ppbAsset Management Technical Oversight /b /pulliLead technical asset management activities for the assigned wind assets, while supporting solar PV technical management activities. /liliOversee and manage the day‑to‑day relationship with Service Providers (Asset Management and OM), ensuring full compliance with contractual obligations. /liliMonitor and manage third‑party service providers (insurance providers, market agents, etc.). /liliDevelop a detailed understanding of SPV‑level contracts, including OM, asset management, grid, land, and commercial agreements. /liliSupervise compliance with technical, commercial, legal, and regulatory requirements. /liliReview and challenge Service Provider policies, procedures, and processes to ensure contractual, procedural, and legislative compliance. /liliReview monthly operational and maintenance reports, identify underperformance or contractual deviations, and define corrective actions. /liliConduct plant inspections and assess technical condition, availability, and reliability of assets. /liliMonitor and oversee cybersecurity compliance related to asset operations. /liliEnsure strict compliance with HSE requirements and effective claims management. /li /ulpbr/ppbPerformance, Analytics Optimization /b /pulliDefine, monitor, and report on technical and economic KPIs across wind and solar portfolios. /liliPerform in‑depth performance analysis, benchmarking assets internally and externally. /liliPrepare regular performance and portfolio comparison reports, highlighting value drivers, deviations, and risks. /liliIdentify and implement technical, operational, and contractual optimization initiatives. /liliSupport the evaluation of lifetime extension, repowering, and optimization options, particularly for wind assets. /li /ulpbr/ppbOPEX Cost-control focus /b /pulliLead OPEX monitoring and cost‑control activities across managed portfolios. /liliIdentify cost reduction opportunities while maintaining or improving asset performance and reliability. /liliMonitor asset revenues and collaborate with internal stakeholders to explain variances and risks. /li /ulpbr/ppbStakeholder Management Strategic Support /b /pulliAct as technical interface with key stakeholders, including OM providers, market agents, landowners, regulatory bodies, and suppliers. /liliMaintain regular interaction with UK‑based partners and customers, particularly for offshore wind assets. /liliSupport technical MA activities, including due diligence, technical assessments, and integration planning. /liliContribute to the development and continuous improvement of internal reporting frameworks and asset‑management tools. /li /ulpbr/ppbCompetencies /b /pulliStrong, demonstrable understanding of wind energy technology – offshore wind preferred, onshore wind accepted with deep technical experience /liliSolid understanding of solar PV technology and regulated projects (RD 413/2014 experience required) /liliGood understanding of legal concepts governing Asset Management and OM contracts /liliExcellent command of written and spoken English (C1/C2 level minimum) – this role requires direct interaction with British customers, partners, and peers on a regular basis /liliExcellence edge – a relentless drive for quality and continuous improvement in everything you do /liliAutonomous and proactive – ability to develop own workstreams and work across many different functions /liliStrong aptitude to learn complex concepts (tax rules, energy policy, financial structures, corporate structures, business models, etc.) /liliGood team player with outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written) /liliHighly analytical personality – comfortable extracting and analyzing large amounts of data; /liliAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, conditional formatting, data validation) to analyze operational data and build reusable dashboards. /liliPowerPoint proficiency to synthesize technical information into clear, executive-ready presentations (narrative structure, visual clarity, speed of execution). /liliHands-on experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, MS Project, Planner) to track schedules, milestones, and resources in OM environments. /liliPractical SCADA experience extracting and interpreting time-series data (trends, alarms, performance curves), focused on efficiency, availability, and forecasting reports – not system administration or /liliValid driver's license /li /ulpbr/ppbEducation and experience /b /pulliBachelor’s and-or master’s degree in relevant discipline (Engineering or similar); /liliBetween 4 and 10 years’ experience within the renewable energy industry working in the implementation and/or asset management/OM projects; /liliDemonstrable experience working with wind assets (offshore wind farms highly appreciated); /liliDemonstrable experience working with PV regulated assets; /liliTechnical knowledge of other renewable energy technologies is appreciated; /li /ul
