We are looking for a Senior 3D Animator to join our team in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, or to work remotely from elsewhere in the Canary Islands.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-end animation with strong acting and storytelling, setting quality benchmarks for the team.
* Take ownership of complex shots and sequences, ensuring they meet creative and technical expectations.
* Work closely with Leads and Supervisors to interpret creative direction and translate it into final animation.
* Support Leads in reviewing work and providing constructive feedback to other animators when required.
* Help maintain consistency in style, performance, and continuity across the project.
* Anticipate challenges and propose solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
* Provide reliable task estimates and ensure deadlines are met.
Requirements
* 6+ years of experience in animation production.
* Strong portfolio demonstrating high-level acting and performance.
* Ability to mentor and support other team members.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable mindset.
* Proficiency in English (Spanish is a plus).
Nice to Have
* Advanced understanding of animation principles, performance, and storytelling.
* Strong ability to interpret scripts, storyboards, and animatics into compelling animation.
* Deep knowledge of production pipelines and workflows.
* High proficiency in Autodesk Maya and strong technical awareness (rigs, constraints, troubleshooting).
* Ability to handle complex scenes, characters, and acting beats.
* Collaborate closely with Leads, Supervisors, and Production to ensure alignment with project goals.
* Act as a key point of reference for other animators on artistic and technical matters.
* Communicate proactively with other departments to anticipate and resolve issues.
General Information
* Work location: On-site at our studio in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, or remote from another Canary Island.
* Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 08:00 to 16:00, Friday from 08:00 to 14:00.
* 25 days of annual leave.
* Contract type: Project-based contract, estimated until June 27. Opportunity for continued employment on future projects.
