Wooptix is a semiconductor wafer metrology innovator that provides the fastest, most accurate in-line measurements with the highest lateral resolution. About The Role
We are seeking a Junior Optical Engineer to join our SEBI Camera team and support the development of innovative optical and optomechanical systems. This role is ideal for a recent graduate who wants to gain hands-on experience in optical design, simulation, and laboratory work, while contributing to real-world engineering projects in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the design and simulation of optical and optomechanical systems.
* Develop and maintain scripts for image processing and analysis under supervision.
* Participate in the assembly, testing, and characterization of optical prototypes.
* Assist with laboratory management, including inventory control and data organization.
* Collaborate with senior engineers and researchers on experimental setups and documentation.
What we are looking for
* Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Optical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (required).
* Basic programming skills in Python, MATLAB, or similar scientific environments.
* Familiarity with optical simulation tools (e.g., Zemax, COMSOL) or strong motivation to learn them.
* Understanding of basic image processing concepts and techniques.
* Participation in academic or extracurricular projects related to optics or photonics.
* Curiosity, problem-solving attitude, and willingness to learn.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
* Good communication skills in both Spanish and English.
