Love TV Channels is a startup based in Barcelona. We produce high-quality, thematic, and localized FAST TV channels across Europe.
We are looking for a Journalist News Editor
with 1 to 3 years of experience, to join our editorial team and be in charge of the daily editorial programming and content production of news for our 24h news channel. The ideal candidate has a good understanding of news publishing, media production workflows, is passionate about news, and is eager to explore new editorial formats using news agency content and AI-based tools.
Responsibilities :
1. Conduct daily curation and monitoring of news received from news agencies and publishers to ensure the channel covers all major current events with accuracy, compliance, and editorial consistency.
2. Create video news using daily materials from local media agencies, selecting and adapting press agency materials (e.g., EFE, Europa Press) for broadcast.
3. Utilize AI tools (e.g., video generation, text-to-speech, voice cloning) to accelerate content production.
4. Oversee dubbing or subtitling of news content from English to Spanish using AI tools, and proofread translations for quality and consistency.
5. Curate and assemble thematic blocks daily (e.g., geopolitics, economy, sport).
6. Coordinate with internal and external teams to meet publishing deadlines.
7. Coordinate technical integration and metadata requirements with internal teams.
Requirements and Qualifications :
1. Based in Barcelona. This is a MUST.
2. Proven experience in journalism and news curation (minimum 1 year preferred).
3. Strong interest in Spanish and international news.
4. Solid general knowledge and cultural awareness, with the ability to understand and contextualize current affairs.
5. Fluent in Spanish and professional English (French, Italian, or German is a plus).
6. Excellent writing and synthesis skills.
7. Interest in new technology and Artificial Intelligence.
8. Confident using Excel.
9. Video editing skills (e.g., trimming, subtitling, simple assembly) using Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar tools.
10. Familiarity with content management systems, metadata, and content sourcing is a plus.
11. Strong coordination and communication skills, especially in cross-functional settings.
12. Highly organized, autonomous, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
