Red Hat's Technical Services team is looking for an experienced, enterprise-level engineer to join us as a Middleware Technical Account Manager (TAM) in Spain.
Red Hat's Technical Services team is looking for an experienced, enterprise-level engineer to join us as a Middleware Technical Account Manager in Spain. Work closely with customers, gain an understanding of their IT infrastructure, internal processes, and business needs, and help identify relevant trends throughout the industry. In this role, you will work with a small set of key enterprise customers to provide architectural guidance and implementation advice for the Red Hat Middleware stack to meet their business needs. This is not a sales role. You'll be a dedicated customer engagement associate and a member of the Red Hat Engineering and Services teams. As Middleware Technical Account Manager, you will provide a premium level of engagement that builds, maintains, and grows long-lasting customer loyalty by tailoring technical support to customer environments, facilitating collaboration with other vendors, and advocating on their behalf.
What you will do:
1. Become a Red Hat technical ambassador, working closely with a small number of customers using Middleware technologies; develop relationships with key business and IT stakeholders, including customer managers and technical associates
2. Deliver key portfolio updates and assist customers with upgrades of our offerings; advise customers on technology changes, mitigation strategies, and potential disruptions to their service
3. Conduct technical investigations of customer issues to find root causes and solutions on your own or through collaboration with fellow Red Hatters and customer teams
4. Provide advice and guidance to customers about their current and future use of Red Hat’s offerings
5. Perform technical reviews and share knowledge to proactively identify and prevent issues
6. Manage customer cases and maintain clear and concise case and customer documentation; create customer engagement plans
7. Handle customer escalations with Red Hat and customer teams
8. Engage with Red Hat’s engineering teams to help develop solutions, based on customer engagements as well as personal experience, that will guide product adoption
9. Analyze and present periodic reviews of operational performance to customer leadership
10. Deliver trainings and presentations to customer associates
11. Travel, as necessary, to visit customers or attend internal events
12. Collaborate with third-party hardware and software vendors
What you will bring:
13. Combination of technical and customer-facing skills and the desire to embrace and develop both
14. Prior professional experience in a support, development, engineering, or quality assurance (QA) organization, including technical and communication skills
15. Ability to manage and grow existing enterprise customer relationships by providing excellent customer experience
16. Growth mindset and willingness to learn (as part of your onboarding and further development process, you are expected to obtain specific technology certifications such as RHCE/OCP/OSP/Ansible.)
17. Native level Spanish Language skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; ability to explain complex information, such as aligning Red Hat’s offerings to customer needs or use cases, to customers in straightforward terms
18. Effective collaboration skills for working with internal and external associates; ability to manage internal and external communication and prioritize tasks according to their importance or urgency
19. Interest in developing technical skills and future development into OCP/ Ansible/ RHEL direction
Middleware TAM Technical Skills
20. Knowledge of the JEE/Jakarta platform
21. Experience analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale Java application issues through configuration, log analysis, thread stack, heap dump analysis, and JVM analysis; ability to set up an action plan based on this data
22. Practical experience with Java middleware technologies and offerings like application servers, messaging, integration, etc.
23. Java coding and development experience
The following are considered a plus:
24. Experience with API management systems like Red Hat 3Scale API Management
25. Event streaming tools like Kafka or similar
26. Professional Java coding and development experience
27. Practical experience with JBoss EAP and JBCS HTTP server
28. Openshift general knowledge
29. Maven experience
30. Experience automating Middleware using Ansible
31. Experience with Single Sign on software, especially with Keycloak.
