Offer Description
The required background is a degree in Chemistry or Biomedical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Knowledge of software development, especially coding, is highly valued. The work will be conducted at both CIC nanoGUNE and DOMOTEK facilities. Responsibilities include setting up mechanical parts of equipment along with its software, and improving instruments. Product development and validation in the biomedical sector will also be involved. Main techniques include electrospinning and melt electrowriting, with other methods as needed. Candidates should be proficient in English and Spanish, possess excellent communication skills, and be prepared to work in an industrial environment.
Candidate Expectations
* Connect with the private sector and promote applications of technical developments
* Provide technical support and training, both in person and online
* Perform technological surveillance on trends in bioprinting
* Characterize properties of fabricated printed materials
* Combine bioprinting technologies (ES, MEW, bioinks, UV, extrusion) to develop innovative solutions
The position is expected to start on 01 / 09 / 2025 or earlier. It begins with a fixed-term industrial researcher position at nanoGUNE for one year, followed by a 5-month contract at DOMOTEK. If progress is satisfactory, there is potential for extension to a permanent role at DOMOTEK.

DOMOTEK, based in San Sebastian, Spain, specializes in additive manufacturing and 3D printing, with a focus on healthcare solutions since its founding in 2015.
