Key Account Manager – Drug Safety Assessment (Southern Europe)
A prestigious integral CRO and industry leader in drug safety assessment is seeking a Key Account Manager to drive strategic growth across Southern Europe. This role will focus on managing and expanding a portfolio of top tier pharma and biotech accounts, supporting preclinical safety and IND-enabling programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of top 10–15 strategic drug safety accounts across Southern Europe
- Develop and execute account strategies to drive revenue growth and long-term partnerships
- Identify and secure opportunities across toxicology, safety pharmacology, and IND-enabling studies
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, aligning scientific capabilities with drug development pipelines
- Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes from opportunity identification through to contract execution
- Collaborate cross-functionally with scientific, operational, and leadership teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Represent the organization at key industry events and maintain strong market visibility
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in CRO sales or drug safety / preclinical services
- Strong track record managing large, strategic accounts within pharma/biotech
- Solid understanding of the drug development lifecycle, particularly preclinical safety assessment
- Commercially driven with experience closing high-value, multi-study programs
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English; additional Southern European languages advantageous
