A Day in the Life
In this exciting role as a Clinical Specialist, you will act as the clinical reference for the Medtronic Endoscopy portfolio in Iberia, leading clinical implementation and customer training for existing and prospective accounts. You will focus on driving adoption and optimal use of solutions through product demonstrations, healthcare professional training, support during clinical procedures, and the promotion of educational programs, leveraging strong clinical technical expertise and effective customer communication.
Within the Medical Surgical group, you will report to the Endoscopy Operating Unit, which offers a comprehensive portfolio of products for therapeutic and diagnostic digestive endoscopy. You will be part of the Central regional team, managing an innovative portfolio that includes capital equipment and consumables for the diagnosis and treatment of hepatology and gastroenterology conditions. For this remote position, your territory will cover Central Spain, and you will be expected to be based in Madrid.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
1. Deliver product demonstrations and clinical education to healthcare professionals to ensure effective understanding and use of Medtronic Endoscopy solutions
2. Act as a clinical reference for the portfolio, applying strong clinical and technical expertise to support product application and address customer inquiries
3. Provide post sales clinical support, including implementation, education, in servicing, and ongoing account support to drive product utilization
4. Partner closely with Sales and Marketing teams to support regional and national strategies, including lead generation, pre sales clinical evaluations, and demonstration of clinical value
5. Promote educational programs, clinical events, congresses, and peer to peer initiatives to enhance customer engagement and clinical adoption
6. Track, document, and report training activities, customer feedback, and account information using Salesforce, ensuring accurate reporting and follow up
7. Collaborate cross functionally with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Training, Technical Support, and Customer Service), sharing best practices and field insights to maximize organizational effectiveness
Required Knowledge and Experience:
8. Bachelor's degree is required in electrical, medical engineering or related scientific disciplines
9. At least 1 year of experience in the medical devices or life sciences industry
10. Fluency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken
11. Strong team player in a cross-functional environment; flexible and willing to travel as required
12. Independent, self-reliant, and accountable; strong sense of responsibility
13. Advanced presentation and negotiation skills; able to operate in competitive environments and adapt quickly to change
14. Enthusiastic and decisive, Self-motivated and able to work with a minimum of supervision; Team oriented
