Overview
Within the Ayvens International IT department, in the Integration Services branch, the Platform Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our integration platform. This platform underpins critical business processes by managing API gateways, service buses and messaging systems, that enable seamless communication across diverse applications and services worldwide.
This role requires close collaboration with international teams and external providers to ensure seamless interoperability of leasing platforms, telematics, financial systems, and other critical applications worldwide.
Your Responsibilities Include
* Design, deploy, and maintain integration platform components including API Management solutions, ESB, and messaging middleware to support international business units.
* Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of the integration platform.
* Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to implement best practices and continuous improvement.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to API gateways, ESB flows, and messaging queues.
* Automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps tools.
* Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning of the platform.
* Ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory security standards across all integration services.
* Provide technical guidance and support for integration patterns and API lifecycle management.
* Document platform architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
* Monitor integration performance globally, identify improvement opportunities, and implement optimizations for reliability and scalability.
* Provide training, support, and knowledge transfer to international IT teams.
* Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends in automotive leasing and propose innovative integration solutions.
What are we looking for?
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
* Proven experience with integration platforms including API management tools (e.g. WSO2, Sparky, IBM, Tibco), ESB (e.g. WSO2 Synapse, LogicApps, Tibco, IBM), and messaging systems (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ, IBM).
* Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, SOAP, JSON, XML, and related integration standards.
* Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker, Podman).
* Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform).
* Solid understanding of network protocols, security concepts, and identity / access management.
* Experience with development and version control tools (Web systems, Visual Studio, Eclipse IDE, Git).
* Experience with CI / CD pipelines and DevOps culture.
* Experience working in international, multicultural environments with distributed teams.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on operational impact and cross-border complexities.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse internal teams and external partners.
* Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages are a plus.
