Plant Director, Valencia, Spain.
This is a high-impact leadership position with responsibility for a major production facility. The Plant Director will focus on strengthening operational performance, embedding a strong safety and quality culture, and driving cultural transformation across the site. Reporting to a senior global executive, the role carries accountability for all aspects of plant operations, including production, maintenance, supply chain, quality, and safety. With significant growth and investment projects planned in the coming years, this is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader to shape the long-term success of a strategically important site.
Key Responsibilities Lead daily operations across all plant functions to ensure delivery of volume, cost, service, and quality targets. Build and maintain a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence. Deliver strategic CAPEX projects, ensuring expansions and upgrades are executed on time, on budget, and to global standards. Implement continuous improvement methodologies (TPM, Lean, Six Sigma, 5S) to reduce waste, increase efficiency, and improve productivity. Develop, retain, and inspire a high-performing leadership team while fostering an inclusive, accountable culture. Manage relationships with works councils, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies. Contribute to long-term strategic planning and transformation within the global operations network.
Qualifications 5–10+ years’ experience in senior plant or operations management roles within manufacturing, ideally in the food, ingredients, or wider process industries. Strong track record in operational excellence and managing large-scale industrial transformation projects. Proven experience leading CAPEX investments and continuous improvement programs (TPM, Lean, Six Sigma). Skilled people leader with experience in unionised environments. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Management (Engineering preferred). Fluent in Spanish and English (bilingual).
