What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent (e.G., HNC/HND/FP with relevant experience).
* Minimum 4 years of automotive CAD design experience, ideally with injection-molded plastic or stamped metal parts.
Technical & Software Skills
* Expert-level proficiency in CATIA V5, including 3D modeling, surfacing (MDS/HD2), assemblies, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), and 2D drawings.
* Strong experience with PLM/PDM systems—managing BOMs, variant and revision control (Stammbau‐M/PDM Sheets).
Manufacturing & Quality Knowledge
* Solid understanding of automotive processes:
injection molding, stamping, CNC machining, assembly, and OEM-level tolerances.
* Familiarity with quality methodologies and industry standards such as PPAP, APQP, and IATF 16949.
Validation & Prototyping
* Hands-on experience in preparing cubings and prototypes, conducting validation trials, interpreting results, and tracking corrective actions through industrialization.
Communication & Languages
* Strong interpersonal and documentation skills:
leading meetings, tracking open actions (LOPS), managing engineering change orders (AKO), and delivering technical presentations.
* Native-level Spanish and professional working proficiency in English.
Key Responsibilities
* Drive internal alignment:
schedule and moderate meetings, define agendas, track action items, and report project progress.
* Manage technical documentation:
update 3D/2D CAD files, oversee homologations, variant control, and BOM updates (Stammbau‐M).
* Support prototyping and validation phases:
assist in assembly and testing activities, analyze trial outcomes, resolve issues, and implement corrective actions during industrialization.
