Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, balance sheet, and fixed assetsPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP with the support of external accountantsManage and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and reduce riskLead month-end and year-end closing processesCoordinate external audits and liaise with external accountants and tax advisorsPrepare variance analysis, support with forecasts, and budget-to-actual reportsAssist in the development and monitoring of departmental budgets and financial KPIsEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local financial and tax regulationsSupport cash flow forecasting and working capital managementCollaborate with the FP&A team to provide financial insights for strategic decisionsUtilise in-house systems and financial software to enhance reporting efficiency and data accuracyWhat you’ll need :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or ACCA preferred)3–5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial control, preferably in a U.S. corporation with high transaction volumeStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks (e.G., SOX compliance)Proficiency with financial systems (e.G., QuickBooks, ERPs) and advanced Excel skillsStrong analytical, organisational, and communication skillsDemonstrated ability to manage deadlines and prioritise in a fast-paced environmentWhy work at RemoFirst?Startup environment.
