Our Client, a leading Global manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resource Manager to lead their HR department in Spain. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in global HR management and partnership. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing HR operations, developing and implementing HR strategies, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the HR team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective HR operations
Implement global HR strategies that align with company objectives and promote a positive work environment
Collaborate with HR teams across different regions to ensure consistency in HR practices and policies
Partner with US-based HR leadership to unify practices and procedures across regions
Talent Acquisition and Management
Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent
Develop and implement talent management programs to retain and develop employees
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to employees to support their career growth
Employee Relations
Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
Address employee concerns and grievances in a timely and effective manner
Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations
Experience working with unions is highly desired
Compensation and Benefits
Partner with Total Rewards to design and implement competitive compensation and benefits programs for EMEA
Manage benefits administration
Training and Development
Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
Organize and conduct training sessions and workshops
Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as needed
HR Metrics and Reporting
Track and analyze HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives
Prepare and present reports to senior management on HR activities and performance
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or HR certification is a plus
Proven experience as a Senior HR Manager or in a similar senior leadership role
Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations in Spain and globally
Prior experience working with unions
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and global environment
Proficiency in HR software and tools
Fluency in Spanish and English is required
Working Conditions
Light travel requirements (possibly to US headquarters once or twice per year)
Position can be based in either Pamplona or Madrid
