In order to support the Administrative and Finance department, NOVADIP-BIOSCIENCES is actively looking for a hands-on Finance & Business Controller to strengthen our finance team and support the strategic and operational development of the company.

Your Role
As Finance & Business Controller, you will work closely with the CFO and the wider business to ensure accurate financial planning, insightful business analysis, and robust cost control. You will play a key role in building a scalable finance function, supporting internal stakeholders, and enabling data-driven decision-making in a dynamic biotech environment.
Key responsibilities
•Develop and maintain budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
•Prepare monthly management reporting packages and variance analysis
•Monitor R&D and G&A spend versus budget (including project-based tracking)
•Partner with budget owners to understand and manage departmental costs
•Support grant and loan reporting, project accounting, and cost allocation
•Contribute to cash flow forecasting and liquidity management
•Prepare financial analyses to support fundraising, investor reporting, and strategic decisions
•Assist in preparing Board presentations and financial KPIs
•Support external audits and interactions with tax/legal advisors
•Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and systems in a developing organization
•Working in close collaboration with Finance team on closing
•Driving financial projects: ERP improvements, development of BI reporting package etc.
Your Profile
•Master’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Engineering, or related field
•6–9 years of relevant experience in controlling, audit, or FP&A, ideally in a biotech, pharma, or lifesciences setting
•Prior experience in a growing SME, scale-up, or startup is a strong asset
•Excellent analytical, financial plan modelling, and Excel skills
•Solid understanding of accounting principles (BGAAP - IFRS is a plus)
•Tax knowledge and working in an R&D environment are a plus
•Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (Microsoft Business Central is a plus)
•IT minded (knowledge of BI is a plus)
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to work cross-functionally
•Team spirit, stress resistant
•Proactive, organized, hands-on and solutions-driven
•Fluent in French and English; working knowledge of Dutch is a plus
