**Summary**
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY TECHNICIAN in the Public Works Department of NAVFAC SOUTHWEST.
This is a Temporary position. Temporary promotions/reassignments may be extended at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Temporary actions taken under this announcement may be made permanent without further competition.
**Duties**
- You will directly supervise a team of Supply Technicians that procure materials from a variety of sources.
- You will assign work to subordinates based on workload received and nature of priorities, the difficulty of the work to be performed and the capabilities of the employees.
- You will act as the appointed Approving Official for the NAVFAC SW Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) program.
- You will analyze and evaluate each incoming material request for accuracy and Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) compliancy.
- You will use automated systems to monitor financial transactions.
- You will collect and analyze Supply Chain performance data and provide metrics based on data results.

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- This is an obligated position. The former incumbent has return rights to this position under PL 86-585.
**Qualifications**
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Advising others on supply, purchasing, and acquisition laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; 2) Ensuring others properly abide by government purchase card laws, processes, and procedures, including the Prompt Pay Act; 3) Planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, reviewing work methods and finding ways to improve efficiency and effectiveness to meet supply chain management needs; and 4) Providing technical direction to purchase cardholders regarding use of and assisting in resolving problems regarding monthly reconciliation, certification of payments, and legality of procurements. NOTE: THIS EXPERIENCE MUST BE FULLY AND CLEARLY SUPPORTED IN YOUR RESUME.
