Airbus Defence & Space SAU is looking for a Financial Controller to join its team in Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will be part of the Financial Controller department.
Responsibilities
Co‐pilot financial performance: understand strategy, governance, and challenges;
lead financial planningand forecasting;
set and maintain multi‐year targets;
develop financial models, simulations, scenarios, and business cases to support decision‐making.
Identify and mitigate financial risks and opportunities;
secure external fundingopportunities.
Produce accurate financial reporting;
assess actual performance, analyse deviations, and advise on corrective actions;
analyse cost base, revenues, unit costs, and optimisation drivers.
Support execution and ensure data quality: compute hourly rates, assist with resource review and headcount target definition, prepare charge‐back and cost reallocation models;
approve shopping carts;
audit POs;
trigger cost rebooking and transfer.
Communicate with stakeholders: provide information to Investor Relations;
enforce finance processes;
define funding/cost allocation schemes with Tax, Treasury and Accounting;
review statutory accounts of affiliates;
set cost‐accounting structures;
ensure business compliance with finance requirements.
Interact with auditors and raise finance awareness;
define and share a finance toolbox;
maintain reference targets, actuals and finance road‐maps.
Qualifications
Degree in Finance or MBA.
Medium level of English, focus on written English.
Knowledge of finance, accounting and/or project controlling.
Experience in programme management, financial performance of contracts, logistics and warehouse financial impact, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and audit reviews.
Ability to interface with Operations, Engineering, Heads of Aircraft Programmes and their controllers.
