In this Mechanical Design Engineer role you drive the enhancement of our product lineup for high-pressure and gas applications, supporting sustainable energy solutions. You will collaborate across departments and with the GECIA team in India to design standardized ranges and engineered solutions. You’ll tackle safety, reliability, and manufacturability challenges across the lifecycle of the product, shaping technology with a cross-functional focus. This is a hands-on role at the forefront of gas compression innovation with a strong emphasis on practical impact.

• Design standardized product ranges and platforms for engineered solutions
• Coordinate design activities with the GECIA team in India
• Ensure designs meet product specifications and release design documents, BOMs, and technical instructions
• Release drawings and engineering BOMs per our tools and processes
• Emphasize safety, reliability, and design-for-manufacturing/assembly/service throughout the lifecycle
• Apply lessons learned and company design rules; drive cost-efficient designs and industrialisation
• Collaborate to resolve design-related quality issues and align with suppliers for cost optimization
• Maintain SHEQ targets and uphold Group Core values (Interaction, Commitment, Innovation)
• Promote continuous improvement and maintain timely, respectful communication with leaders and peers
• Engage in technical alignment meetings with suppliers to optimize design and manufacturing capabilities
• Develop relationships with peers at GECIA and support cross-functional collaboration
Responsabilidades
• Minimum 3 years of relevant compressor development experience
• Fluent in Spanish, Basque and English
• Experience with CAD, MRP (BPCS), PLM and MS Excel
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanics or equivalent
