Senior Frontend Engineer | React / NextJS | Remote
A leading scheduling platform, used by over 30 million people, is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to work remotely in Spain.
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be more than just a builder—you're a feature owner, a UX advocate, and a performance leader who thrives on delivering meaningful, high-quality user experiences at scale. You'll be instrumental in defining the frontend architecture and standards for a platform used by millions.
What You Will Do
* Define and guide the technical direction for the frontend ecosystem.
* Lead the evolution of the Design System and Component Library .
* Own Core Web Vitals and performance metrics, optimising bundle sizes and build speeds.
* Leverage advanced techniques like React Server Components (RSC) within Next.js for exceptional performance.
* Architect efficient state management, optimising API interactions via Apollo Client and GraphQL .
* Act as a core stakeholder in improving the Developer Experience (DX), refining CI/CD pipelines and tooling.
* Champion accessibility (WCAG compliance) and inclusive design across user experiences.
* Lead through high-quality code, rigorous reviews, and mentor mid-level engineers in TypeScript best practices.
Our Ideal Candidate
We are seeking someone who views the frontend as a strategic product foundation and brings strong architectural intuition.
Your background should include:
* 6+ years of professional frontend experience, with 4+ years using React and TypeScript in large-scale applications.
* Deep knowledge of browser internals and a proven ability to deliver substantial performance improvements .
* Expert-level understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and core browser APIs.
* Advanced knowledge of GraphQL, Apollo Client, and effective caching patterns.
* Strong ability to collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to translate goals into high-impact technical solutions.
