CAREER OPENING: LABOR LAWYER / ABOGADO LABORAL | MÁLAGA, SPAIN
Fuerte Group Hotels invites experienced and dedicated legal professionals to apply for the position of Labor Lawyer (Abogado/a Laboral). Based at our Corporate Headquarters in Málaga / Marbella, Spain, you will be responsible for providing critical legal advice and ensuring compliance across all aspects of the Group’s workforce and labor relations.
1. Position and Mission (ROLE DETAILS)
* Company: Fuerte Group Hotels (A stable, expanding hotel group).
* Location: Málaga / Marbella Area, Spain (Corporate HQ).
* Mission: Protect the Group’s interests by ensuring strict adherence to Spanish Labor Law (Derecho Laboral) and providing expert legal guidance on all human resources, employment, and social security matters within the hospitality sector.
2. Essential Job Functions (KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)
Your role requires specialized knowledge and direct management of all labor-related legal matters:
2.1. Labor Compliance & Consulting
* First, provide daily legal counsel to the Human Resources department on employment contracts, modifications, remuneration structures, and internal regulations.
* Interpret and ensure compliance with the Spanish Workers’ Statute (Estatuto de los Trabajadores) and relevant collective bargaining agreements (Convenios Colectivos).
* Therefore, proactively monitor regulatory changes in Spanish labor and social security law and communicate impacts to management.
2.2. Litigation & Labor Relations
* Manage and coordinate defense strategies for all labor litigation cases (dismissals, wage claims, harassment, etc.) before the Labor Courts (Juzgados de lo Social).
* Handle matters related to administrative labor law, including inspections by the Inspección de Trabajo y Seguridad Social.
* Furthermore, participate in collective negotiation processes, internal policy development, and restructuring actions (e.g., ERTEs, EREs), ensuring legal robustness.
2.3. Disciplinary & Administrative Management
* Advise on and execute disciplinary procedures and dismissals, ensuring full legal justification and documentation.
* Manage legal documentation related to the workforce and represent the company in mandatory conciliation acts (e.g., CMAC).
* Crucially, oversee legal documentation and training related to occupational risk prevention.
3. Candidate Profile (JOB REQUIREMENTS)3.1. Qualifications & Experience (MANDATORY)
* Education: Degree in Law (Licenciatura/Grado en Derecho) from a Spanish university is mandatory.
* Specialization: Proven postgraduate training or specialization in Labor Law (Derecho Laboral) is highly preferred.
* Membership: Must be a registered member of a Spanish Bar Association (Colegio de Abogados).
* Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience as a Labor Lawyer, either in-house or within a specialized law firm, focusing on the Spanish jurisdiction.
3.2. Language & Adaptability
* Language (MANDATORY): Absolute professional fluency in Spanish and English (both written and verbal) is required to manage legal documents and communicate with the international corporate structure.
* Skills: Excellent analytical, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
