The position
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The successful candidate will leverage their expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles, SAP proficiency, and experience in enhancing production efficiency to optimize our manufacturing processes. This role requires a proactive individual who can drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities
1. Implement Lean Manufacturing methodologies to identify and eliminate waste, streamline processes, and improve overall production efficiency.
2. Analyze current manufacturing processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for optimization.
3. Collaborate with production teams to implement process improvements, utilizing tools such as value stream mapping, Kaizen events, and 5S methodology.
4. Utilize SAP software to monitor production metrics, analyze data, and identify opportunities for optimization.
5. Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to address production challenges, drive innovation, and ensure the successful implementation of improvement initiatives.
6. Develop and maintain documentation related to process improvements, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
7. Conduct training sessions to educate production staff on new processes, tools, and methodologies.
8. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, evaluate the effectiveness of improvement efforts, and drive performance excellence.
9. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to optimize supply chain processes and improve material flow.
10. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to manufacturing and process improvement.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
* Minimum of 2 -3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on process improvement and production efficiency. Ideally power electronics or automotive.
* Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
* Experience using SAP or similar ERP software for production planning and control.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify opportunities for improvement.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Proven track record of implementing process improvement initiatives and delivering measurable results.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
* English is required at least B2.
