CoE Tax Advisor
For our Global CoE Tax team, we are seeking a CoE Tax Advisor to provide support and advice on Direct tax (including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Withholding Tax Accounting, and Tax Reporting) and Indirect tax (VAT, Intrastat, EU Sales Tax, etc.) across several countries where the Group operates.
Responsibilities:
* Support tax and accounting teams with advice, technical guidance, and process-related questions on Direct & Indirect tax, Tax Accounting, Tax Reporting, and Tax Compliance within GBS for the designated countries.
* Manage complex tax activities regionally and/or with global implications, including support and oversight of Tax Audits.
* Identify process improvement opportunities within GBS and coordinate with CoE / GPO organizations.
* Monitor key process metrics to evaluate performance (e.g., dedicated ICS reviewer).
* Manage knowledge by providing guidance, documentation, and training on processes.
* Serve as the primary contact for outsourcing activities.
* Conduct quality gate activities, including risk-based random reviews of tax declarations, approval of significant tax payments, and review of tax declarations for complex entities and issues.
* Organize and deliver training sessions to enhance tax knowledge.
* Define additional data checks and collaborate with GPO.
Required Qualifications:
* Degree in Law or Finance
* Master's degree in taxation
* At least 5 years of experience in direct & indirect tax advisory, tax accounting, and tax reporting
* Experience in the tax department of multinational companies; experience in Big 4 or international tax firms is preferred. Experience in GBS centers is a plus.
* Strong tax judgment and ability to quickly acquire new knowledge
* Advanced analytical skills and a proactive approach to implementing changes or new regulations
* Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and influence stakeholders
* Customer- and goal-oriented mindset, with the ability to overview complex matters and deduce operational activities, complemented by excellent interpersonal communication skills
* Fluent in English is mandatory
* SAP knowledge is advantageous
* Remote working arrangements are permitted for associates, subject to approval and compliance with company policies, from their country of employment.
