Overview BESS Field Services Engineer - Utility Scale Storage Solutions
Earthstream is partnered closely with an established global business who specialise in Energy Storage Solutions, and who are currently looking for an experienced Field Services Engineer to join the team in Madrid.
As a Field Services Engineer, you will provide technical support (on-site & remotely) for their lithium-ion energy storage portfolio, and be responsible for Installation & Commissioning of energy storage containers across EMEA, as well as O&M support for existing products.
Key responsibilities:
Analyse and understand customer applications and requirements
Adapt battery solutions, PCS/MVPS, MV/HV gear, and overall plant setup to customer needs
Ensure compliance of product use and maintenance with technical standards
Troubleshoot and resolve field application issues in collaboration with Engineering
Provide remote monitoring and diagnostic support when applicable
Train and coordinate local 3rd-party service providers for preventive and corrective maintenance
Your profile:
Engineering degree or equivalent technical background (energy, electronics, electrical engineering, automation, etc.)
Strong technical and electrical knowledge
Proven field experience, ideally in international and outdoor environments
Solid understanding of batteries and electrical applications
REA certification
Hands-on, solution-oriented, and customer-focused mindset
Excellent communication skills and ability to train and support others
Flexibility to travel internationally when required
Strong communication skills in English and Spanish
