EHS Support

What you will be doing
- Manage the EHS Management system ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 processes and activities
- Ensure the Compliance within all EHS Legal requirements (Government, Local, etc.)
- Promote and maintain the Wärtsilä Health, Safety & Environment policy, procedures and Mindset in the company
As EHS Support, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain the safety culture and the Wartsila EHS standards
2. Define, communicate, and deploy action plans and key initiatives within own responsibility area
3. Identify and evaluate the problems of the company's EHS Management System, propose appropriate solutions and verify the implementation and compliance of these solutions
4. Identify and record any problems related to EHS aspects or risks, analysis of the causes and make proposals for causes and proposals for improvements
5. Investigate accidents/incidents, dangerous occurrences, determine causes for occurrences and recommend preventive actions
6. Identify, develop and record training needs
7. Prepare and coordinate internal EHS audits
8. Give support to Wellbeing activities
9. Coordinate and follow up the reports and actions in WeCare related to the site
10. Ensure legal compliance: Waste Management, H&S requirements (noise, environment emissions, working environment conditions, etc.)
11. Wartsila Sustainability report follow-up.
12. Submit all reports resulting from compliance with legal requirements
13. Conflict Minerals declaration
14. EHS performance and KPI´s follow-up
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
15. Occupational risk prevention Official technical education
16. Environmental management training
17. Knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 standards
18. Knowledge of EHS Spanish, Galician and local legislation
19. Fluent Spanish is mandatory, English is recommended
20. At least 5 years' experience in industry
21. Communication and teamwork skills
22. Reporting & analysing skills
23. Training & development skills
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers around the world. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel approximately 20%, even though most of the meetings are held virtually.
