MHE Technical Trainer, RME Learning and Development

This role involves conducting training and evaluating training programs. Responsibilities include coordinating training sessions with RME business units, operations management, and the training team to ensure timely and standard-compliant delivery. The trainer will deliver instructor-led classes for new hires, cross-training, and refreshers, manage the learning environment, and report on testing results.
The role also supports the development of training materials, utilizing surveys, quizzes, quality metrics, and other tools to evaluate training effectiveness and its impact on KPIs. Candidates should have completed post-secondary technical education, certification, or relevant credentials, along with practical experience to understand and translate technical content into high-quality training programs for technical audiences.
Key job responsibilities
1. Prioritize health & safety, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
2. Serve as a technical and professional example within RME.
3. Facilitate instructor-led training, both in-person and virtually, following safe work practices.
4. Travel to sites as needed to deliver training.
5. Gather learner feedback and use it to improve courses and programs.
6. Develop training plans and technical materials to enhance RME's learning programs.
7. Create trainee evaluation exercises to ensure knowledge transfer.
8. Collaborate with internal teams and partners.
9. Perform planned maintenance on equipment within the Center of Excellence.
10. Lead continuous improvement and standardization projects.
11. Manage LMS and CMMs tasks such as scheduling and registrations.
12. Coordinate training logistics and support trainees.
13. Meet performance and compliance targets.
14. Work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Qualifications
* Multiskilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines, with experience interpreting drawings.
* Experience in MHE maintenance, including conveyors, sortation systems, and powered equipment.
* Fault-finding skills in Material Handling and Industrial Equipment systems.
* Experience with preventive maintenance systems.
* Developing training materials, job aids, and tutorials.
* Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
* 3+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
* Formal training or accreditation in electrical, mechanical, or related fields.
Additional experience
* 2+ years in adult/technical facilitation and training.
* Experience in developing training documentation.
* Ability to use diverse learning methods.
* Leadership and influencing skills.
* Excellent communication skills, multilingual is a plus.
* Knowledge in mechanical/pneumatic principles, conveyors, industrial electrical controls, NEC standards, industrial electronics, and PC literacy.
