Folch, a Samson Company, the worldwide leader in high performance cordage, is seeking a Plant Production Manager for its plant in Barcelona (Llinars del Valles). Plans and assigns work, implements policies and procedures, and recommends improvements in production methods, equipment, operating procedures, and working conditions. Responsible for practicing a high level of business ethics and professionalism and adhering to safety and quality guidelines in support of Samson strategy and core values.

Job Duties:
* Manages all aspects of production: planning, maintenance, personnel, and safety.
* Coordinates technical needs, resources, planning, etc. with corporate headquarters in the United States.
* Coordinates and agrees on internal and external needs for delivery deadlines and priorities with the sales team as needed.
* Coordinates with manufacturing engineering for the implementation and improvement of production processes and new production lines.
* Identifies the need for all production operating supplies, equipment needs, and personnel requirements and reviews or makes recommendations to the Site Manager.
* Balances quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas. Works to continuously improve in all areas.
* Maintain an awareness of production progress and problems on all shifts.
* Develop team members through effective coaching, performance management, and training.
* Assist team members as needed and oversee resolution of operational issues that affect business objectives.
* Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required at the direction of the Site Manager.
Qualifications:
* Education: BA / BS in Business, Management, Engineering, or a related field; 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory role may substitute for education, preferably in textiles or mechanics
* Experience: Minimum of 5 years production manufacturing experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role in a manufacturing environment. Desired: Lean manufacturing processes experience.
* Language: Ability to fluently speak English.

* Proficient computer skills including use of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new programs.

* Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment.
* Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.
Salary:
€40,000 - €50,000 depending on experience.
Potential for annual bonus.
