Amazon’s operations team seeks Lead Fulfillment Associates with a strong record of achieving results to help our fulfillment centers deliver outstanding operational results. Lead Fulfillment Associates hold various roles—Trainer, Process Assistant, Shipping Clerk, and more—each requiring production duties such as picking/packing orders, receiving/stowing product, ensuring inventory accuracy, and unloading/loading trucks. They also communicate instructions, motivate teammates, and maintain safe work areas.

Key Responsibilities

\n

Lead Fulfillment Associates perform duties across a number of role types, each with specific responsibilities:

\n

- ISS Representative: Power connector. Maintains the link between Corporate Retail Teams and the FC, reports & escalates tickets, and resolves problem items that cannot be received normally. Handles tactical and strategic handling of Retail Request Tickets.
- Process Assistant: Smooth operator. Supports daily management of department duties, allocates labor, leads meetings, assigns job duties, communicates with suppliers, escalates barriers, and drives execution of standard work in Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
- Dock Clerk: Dock star. Manages inbound flow from scheduling appointments to the time of receipt, communicates with carriers, corporate transportation, and dock personnel, plans inbound arrivals, ensures carrier compliance, and leads dock personnel.
- Receiving Clerk: Mega monitor. Schedules inbound deliveries via dock master using Advance Ship Notices, communicates with carriers and reception, keeps up‑to‑date knowledge of appointments, and trains backup clerks.
- Shipping Clerk: Super shipper. Corresponds with multiple shipping companies, uses their software to ship and track packages, coordinates trailers to dock doors and cross docks using the OMA tool, and ensures proper processes for the Trailer Dock Release program.
- Non‑Inventory Receive Clerk: Non‑Inventory guru. Works with Procurement to administer non‑inventory goods, organizes supplies, corrugates, handles safety equipment, researches missing shipments, stages product, operates PIT equipment, and tracks goods with computer skills.
- Regulated Waste Coordinator: Leads the Waste Program, managing resale, donation, or disposal of hazardous waste in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and provides technical support to Operations and the EHS Teams.
- Amazon Robotics (AR) Quarterback: Monitors floor health of the robotic field, dispatches safe work, ensures minimum impact on downstream operations, and uses real‑time dashboards to drive standard work practices.
- Floor Health Monitor: Autonomous operator. Trained to access the AR floor safely and resolve issues such as restarting drives or supporting station amnesty processing.
- Data Analyst: Works closely with ICQA and operations teams to support ACES initiatives, root cause investigations, and compliance with SoX requirements.

Basic Qualifications

\n
- 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Adaptable schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
- Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
- Work 40 hours/week, with overtime as required.
- Be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications

\n
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- 1+ year of leadership experience directly managing others.
- 1+ year working in a similar environment (manufacturing, distribution, warehousing, large retail).
- Experience with performance metrics and lean process improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills to coach, train, and assist team members.
