Global Service & Parts (GCSP) ensures the worldwide delivery of high-quality spare parts for Mercedes-Benz AG. Together with After Sales and Purchasing, we guarantee a timely and cost-efficient service for our customers.
We are looking for a Transportation Planning to join our international team. This role focuses on designing and implementing optimal transportation solutions that improve profitability without compromising service quality. You will lead planning activities during tenders and projects, ensuring compliance with our internal quality standards and supporting global logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop transportation plans and strategies for tenders and projects.
2. Ensure project milestones and deadlines are respected and achieved while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.
3. Act as the main interface with logistics centers, purchasing teams, and transport providers.
4. Conduct technical evaluations and on-site assessments to ensure candidates fullfill company quality and operative requirements.
5. Prepare reports and presentations for decision-making and stakeholder alignment.
6. Ensure a smooth handover to the Forwarder Management department, responsible for ramp-up and subsequent monitoring of implemented changes.
7. Maintain flexibility to delegate key decisions during certain project phases while safeguarding overall objectives.
Qualifikationen
8. Strong analytical skills and experience in transportation planning and scenario development.
9. Solid knowledge of logistics, supply chain operations, and transport processes (last mile experience is a plus).
10. Proven ability to manage projects in international environments.
11. Political tact and a broad strategic vision to navigate cross-departmental interactions effectively.
12. Excellent communication and negotiation skills for cross-functional collaboration.
13. Fluent in English and Spanish (German is a plus).
14. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
