About The Role
The New Business Digital Team is responsible for development and support of new business digital platforms including quoting, illustration, tickets submission, e-application, etc. We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Sr Business Analyst to join our team where you'll play a key role in enhancing how our competitive life insurance products are quoted, illustrated and applied for through new business cycle. The idóneo candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in the Life Insurance industry and have a thorough understanding of Life Insurance products and regulatory environment.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with cross-function teams such as Product, Distribution, Marketing and Legal & Compliance to gather input on product features, process improvements, sales needs and regulatory requirements.
Translate complex inputs into clear and actionable business and functional specs.
Work with technical teams to implement and test changes and enhancements to ensure digital outputs are compliant, accurate and customer friendly.
Create and maintain detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlog items in tools like JIRA.
Research issues raised by internal stakeholders and work with internal and/or external IT team to identify solutions and document requirements for changes
Build reports to monitor system performance and identify rooms for improvement
Assist with UAT testing and obtain required software release approvals.
Communicate regular updates with internal and external team members.
Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, competitor updates as well as customer feedback to recommend enhancements that improve our process and value proposition.
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 2 to 5 years of experience in Finance or Life Insurance industry.
Familiarity with life insurance products and application process/systems as well as product illustration tools is a plus.
Experience with life insurance legal and compliance environment is preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong work ethic with the ability to meet milestones and objectives with limited supervision.
Adaptable problem solver that can manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Innovative, forward thinker who proactively identifies and champions improvement projects.
Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 at the commencement of employment. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate's geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.
In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
