Associate Director, Field Business Lead - IberiaJoin to apply for the Associate Director, Field Business Lead - Iberia role at Alnylam PharmaceuticalsAssociate Director, Field Business Lead - IberiaJoin to apply for the Associate Director, Field Business Lead - Iberia role at Alnylam PharmaceuticalsGet AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.OverviewThe Associate Director, Field Business Lead, Iberia is a is a hybrid role between Sales (70%) and Marketing (30%) and will be responsible to develop and execute local brand plans and tactical plans in Iberia (Spain 90% / Portugal 10%) with focus on driving the overall management of selected Alnylam products.This role is considered Virtual.OverviewThe Associate Director, Field Business Lead, Iberia is a is a hybrid role between Sales (70%) and Marketing (30%) and will be responsible to develop and execute local brand plans and tactical plans in Iberia (Spain 90% / Portugal 10%) with focus on driving the overall management of selected Alnylam products.Acting as field-based expert, this person is the primary customer facing Alnylam person responsible for the sales performance in Spain and Portugal.The role will be the primary interface with the Global Rare Marketing team and has important matrix interactions in the country. This person will ensure excellent alignment and communications from Iberia to the Global team and help ensure that the regional team has the necessary insights regarding local country dynamics.The role reports to Senior Director, West International Cluster Head for Rare Disease Business Unit.The position is based in Spain, preferably in Madrid.Key ResponsibilitiesLeads the building of local strategic brand plans and tactical plansManages the implementation of local tactical plans (e.G. local marketing material, congresses, educational events, promotional events, customer outreach etc.)Develops Tactical Plan in line with Global Rare strategy in partnership with Cluster Head and Iberia Medical Lead.Performs detailed analysis of the assigned territory to identify, assess, and develop relevant centers for diagnosis and treatment.Builds sustainable relationships with healthcare stakeholders and functions as the main partner for key customers in Iberia.Represents Alnylam at local and national events and congressesEnsures a best-in-class working relationship with cross-functional colleaguesTakes responsibility to coordinate local sales training activitiesEnsures detailed tracking of agreed KPIs to allow early course correction and ensure execution of key tacticsProvides high quality input to local market access activitiesEnsures high quality revenue and volume forecasting and brand investment deploymentContributes to the development of the European strategic plan and annual tactical plans.Develops and implements innovative, multichannel marketing strategies and tactics, including the planning and tracking of commercial investmentIn close collaboration with the regional product teams, ensures deep local market and stakeholder insights to inform local tailoring of the strategy and tactics and to help inform the global / regional strategySupports customer qualification processConducts all activities to highest ethical standards in accordance with country code of practice and local Laws and regulationsQualificationsSolid track record in brand management, key account and sales managementExperience in Pharmaceutical Sales, specifically key account managementExperience with hospital marketing management and orphan drugsStrong knowledge of specialty care commercialization in Spain (and desirable in Portugal), particularly in the rare disease spaceLine leadership experience is a plusEducational background in Life Science field, Business degree considered a plusFluency in Spanish and English.Strong network / matrix stakeholder communications skills with both regional and in-country teamsStrong business and financial acumenRelentless external customer and patient focus mindsetAbility to travel within a territory on a regular basisAutonomous working style, pragmatic and operationally oriented, excellent planning and organizing skillsExperienced in Veeva CRM ToolsAbout Alnylam :
