Overview
Join to apply for the Cloud Security Engineer (m / f / d) role at Siemens. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our Cloud Protection Cybersecurity team, working with our central service based on Wiz, a leading Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP). This role requires availability for on-call duty shifts and advanced expertise in at least one major cloud provider. The ideal candidate must possess excellent communication skills in English and a passion for delivering exceptional technical solutions.
Responsibilities
* Provide second-level technical support for the cloud protection cybersecurity service, including troubleshooting and resolving customer issues.
* Participate in on-call rotations during evenings, nights, and weekends.
* Design and implement security solutions for cloud-based applications and services.
* Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI / CD pipelines to automate security processes.
* Collaborate with customers and internal teams to resolve security-related issues promptly.
* Contribute to organizational cybersecurity initiatives to improve cloud security posture.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
* At least 2 years of experience in cloud security engineering or similar roles.
* Willingness to participate in 24x7 on-call support rotations.
* Deep knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
* Understanding of security frameworks, compliance standards (e.G., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
* Proficiency in scripting and automation tools like Python or PowerShell.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills.
* Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with cloud security solutions, CNAPP, cloud security posture management, and workload protection platforms.
* Knowledge of compliance standards such as ISO 27001.
* Relevant certifications like AWS Certified Security – Specialty, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, etc.
