Our Finance team based in Granada (Andalusia) is currently looking for an Accountant Associate to support our growing international operations.
Role Overview
As an Accountant Associate, you will play a key role in the accurate execution of day-to-day accounting activities across multiple legal entities. You will ensure that transactions are correctly recorded, properly categorised, and fully supported, contributing to clean month-end closings and reliable financial reporting. You will work closely with colleagues across several countries (UK, France, Germany, USA, etc.) and report to the Senior Accountant and the Finance Lead, both based in Granada. This role offers hands-on exposure to international accounting processes within a dynamic SaaS finance team. Success in this role means delivering accurate postings, correct analytical allocation, and well-reconciled accounts that support timely and reliable month-end reporting.
Responsibilities
* Process and post supplier invoices, including accruals and prepaid expenses
* Ensure accurate cost allocation and analytical categorisation
* Prepare, issue, and follow up on customer invoices and outstanding receivables
* Analyse and reconcile supplier and customer accounts
* Post and reconcile credit card transactions
* Perform bank reconciliations
* Post payroll accounting entries by department
* Support accounting activities across multiple legal entities, including basic intercompany reconciliations
* Ensure all transactions are properly documented and compliant with internal policies and accounting standards
Closing & Reporting
* Prepare and post month-end journal entries (accruals, prepaids, payroll, reclassifications) under supervision
* Actively contribute to the monthly closing process
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances
* Maintain a clear audit trail and supporting documentation
* Support external audits and respond to auditor requests
Requirements
Must-have:
* Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
* 1–3 years of experience in operational accounting, preferably in an international or multi-entity environment
* English level B2 or higher (the role is primarily carried out in English)
* Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)
* High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
Nice-to-have:
* Experience in a SaaS or service-based business
* Knowledge of French or German
