OverviewBSC-CNS is the leading supercomputing center in Spain. The Research Engineer will work on ASIC design research, focusing on analog and mixed‐signal design and physical design tasks within integrated circuit projects at the center.
Responsibilities
Design full‐custom analog circuits in CMOS technology, including schematic creation, layout and simulation.
Prepare TCL scripts for physical design EDA tools.
Conduct power analysis of ASIC designs before and after layout.
Design DDR3 PHY in CMOS technology.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Electronic Engineering.
Minimum 3 years of practical experience with analog design and simulation tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre/Synopsys Custom Compiler, HSPICE.
Minimum 3 years of experience with digital implementation tools such as Cadence Genus, Innovus, Synopsys DC, ICC2.
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience in DDR3 PHY design.
Experience with open‐source EDA tools and IC design flows.
Strong initiative, prioritisation skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Proficient in written and spoken English.
Conditions
Based at BSC in the Computer Sciences Department.
Full‐time contract (35 h/week) with open‐ended duration tied to project and budget availability.
