Maintenance Services Representative
Responsibilities
JOB SUMMARY
* Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations to Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) In-flight Entertainment Systems on aircraft, complying with FAA/CAA/EASA/CASA regulations. This includes troubleshooting and testing electronic assemblies, removing and replacing electronic units or cabling while installed in the aircraft, and modifying or altering installed equipment.
Major Responsibilities
Aircraft/IFE Maintenance and Support
* Perform built-in test (BIT) and manual tests of PAC IFE systems.
* Troubleshoot electronic units, cabling, or seat consoles to identify failures, down to line replaceable modules, using electronic theory knowledge.
* Identify repairs needed to restore functionality, which may involve removing and replacing defective modules or cabling.
* Operate a vehicle on airport property and around aircraft.
* Operate airline communications equipment.
* Communicate and interface effectively with customers.
Administrative/Documentation
* Document testing and repairs using computer and bar-coding equipment.
* Receive and prepare parts.
* Assist in tracking spare parts inventory.
* Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Education/Experience Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 1-3 years of related industry experience preferred.
* Qualifications and experience satisfying regulatory licensing, FAA A&P certification.
* Ability to pass extensive security and background checks.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
* Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and verbal instructions in English.
* Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
* Knowledge of electronics and troubleshooting, acquired through aviation, military, or technical education, plus 1-2 years of industry experience.
* Ability to work under high-stress conditions.
* Ability to determine methods and procedures for new tasks.
* Works on problems of moderate to diverse scope, requiring judgment and initiative.
* Understands implications of work and recommends solutions.
* Completes tasks resourcefully and effectively as a skilled specialist.
Other Requirements
* May require international and domestic travel up to 25%.
* Must hold a valid driver's license and meet airport access and vehicle operation requirements.
* Willing to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
* Manual dexterity to handle tools and equipment.
* Ability to climb ladders or work from platforms, and endure sitting, standing, bending, or twisting for extended periods; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
* Work under extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces.
* Handle environmental conditions, including noise and congestion.
