Senior Sales Manager:
This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership, business development, and relationship management skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets while managing and mentoring a high-performing sales team. Lead and manage the sales team and all day-to-day activities related to the sales department, with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships, enabling achievement of business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
* Reporting to the Commercial management team, the Senior Sales Manager responsibilities and essential job functions include but not are limited to:
* Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
* Lead and mentor the sales manager’s team, setting objectives, reviewing performance and facilitating ongoing training.
* Forge and maintain relationships with key clients to ensure long-term business partnerships.
* Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and audience demographics to identify new revenue opportunities.
* Oversee the preparation of sales proposals and presentations to pitch our products/services offering to new and Match Hospitality customers.
* Collaborate with marketing, communication, legal and operations team to align sales strategies with marketing campaigns and initiatives.
* Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and F1 races to drive business development.
* Deliver presentations and speak at national and international events to represent and promote the F1 hospitality project.
* Negotiate and close high-value contracts, ensuring profitability and long-term client relationships
* Prepare and present detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance analyses to senior leadership.
* Achieve and exceed sales targets, ensuring long-term financial growth for the event
Qualifications:
* To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
* Bachelor’s Degree required - Business, Marketing or similar degree (B.A.) from a fouryear college, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
* Minimum of 6+ years in sales experience, preferably in premium seating in the sports & hospitality industry.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
* Skilled in setting and running sales meetings, with ability to effectively pitch and present premium products.
* Deep knowledge of the corporate sector and demonstrated ability to build meaningful relationships with key stakeholders in the market
* Must be able to work collaboratively across all departments and have a team-first mentality
* Language skills: Spanish, English, third language will be a plus.
* Knowledge of Formula 1, motorsport, and global sports trends
* Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and sales analytics
* Understanding of luxury hospitality sales and premium fan experiences
