Within the Intelligent Edge team at Schneider Digital
You will join a team responsible for supporting the Schneider Linux distribution (EdgeOS) used by internal clients. Your focus will be the EdgeOS MPU (microprocessor) platform, helping clients onboard EdgeOS and resolve compatibility and bug issues.
What will you do?
Support the Schneider Linux distribution (EdgeOS MPU) and onboard internal clients.
Be the first technical interface between projects and the EdgeOS team, guiding projects from distribution creation to cloud connectivity.
Gather user requirements and guide them through our Yocto/KAS architecture.
Streamline the maintenance process and assist users in adopting EdgeOS within Schneider projects.
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for all embedded firmware questions, from bootloader to Linux user space.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as configuration problems within Yocto layers or recipes, bugs in kernel drivers (USB, Ethernet), and misunderstandings or gaps in Linux usage or behaviour.
Investigate complex Linux concepts, propose and implement fixes, write code, create pull requests on GitHub, and collaborate with other developers to improve overall system stability and performance.
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
Experience in embedded development and BSP.
In-depth knowledge of Linux and Yocto/KAS environments.
Strong Git/GitHub skills.
Knowledge of open-source practices.
Knowledge of board bring-up.

Adaptable.
Travel to France one week per month is required in the initial onboarding. Three days per week at the office are required.
