I'm looking for a Mechanical Manager to take ownership of the mechanical package on a large-scale data center build in Spain. This is a key role on the project, working closely with the wider construction and engineering teams to ensure all mechanical systems are delivered to the highest standards. Responsibilities include:
Manage all aspects of the mechanical scope: HVAC, cooling systems, chilled water, fire protection, and plumbing.
Lead local subcontractors on-site, making sure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to spec.
Review designs and technical drawings, flagging any issues and ensuring compliance with client standards and local regulations.
Work closely with electrical, civil, and architectural teams to coordinate interfaces and avoid clashes.
Oversee inspections, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Report on progress, risks, and solutions to the project leadership team.
The ideal candidate will have:
Solid background as a Mechanical Manager, Package Manager, or Senior Mechanical Engineer on large-scale builds – ideally data centers or other mission-critical projects (pharma, semiconductor, etc.).
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, cooling, and fire protection systems.
Proven experience managing subcontractors and delivering packages on time and budget.
Commissioning experience on complex projects is a big plus.
Spanish fluency required;
Strong English languagecapabilities is also an advantage.
Must be able to be based in Galicia, Spain for the duration of the project.
