As partners, we will be developing and testing solutions to protect older adults from heat waves and pollution, and we will participate as a site for replicating public health solutions.
**Education and qualifications**:
**Required**:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Health or Social Sciences (Medicine, Nurse, Therapist, Social worker, Social psychologist). Other non-health related Degrees will also be considered if the PhD or additional training and experience are related to health care, social care or integrated care
- PhD related to Public Health, research methodology, global health, environmental epidemiology, other related to health, social care or integrated care
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business proficiency)
**Desired**:
- Specific/Additional training in Aging research, Participatory Research, Pragmatic clinical trials of Complex interventions
**Experience and knowledge**:
**Required**:
- At least 5 years of experience working in research/innovation projects
- Organized and methodical with high motivation and initiative
- Ability to communicate with different stakeholders and in transdisciplinary settings
**Main responsibilities and duties**:
- Set up a Regional (in Catalonia) task force for engagement of stakeholders related to climate change, public health and aging population, in coordination with the task leader of the ISMED-CLIM Project.
- Participate in the design, implementation and analysis of the surveys, focus groups and workshops to be delivered in Catalonia.
- Prepare the project deliverables.
- Participate in the design, execution, analysis and interpretation of data of a randomized controlled trial to test the solutions developed for the protection of older adults against heat waves.
- Lead the implementation of the clinical trial in Barcelona and Nicosia.
- Engage in other projects related to aging and climate change and seek new funding opportunities in this research area.
**Labour conditions**:
- Full-time position: 37h/week
- Starting date: Immediate
- Gross annual salary: 32.000 euros (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
