We are looking for a proactive, self-motivated, and enthusiastic “Business Development Manager” to join us. This position, based in Valencia, offers an exciting opportunity to work with our sales team to achieve results, manage relationships with existing and future customers, and coordinate with internal Maersk Line requirements to reach targets as per agreement.
This role involves close collaboration with various internal (trade managers at headquarters, customer service, operations department, global service center) and external stakeholders on a national basis. It provides a broad range of knowledge and experience, making it an ideal step for successful career development.

* Execute commercial strategy, considering the Long Term/Short Term portfolio split, corridor/yield optimization, end-to-end, and other VAS opportunities, in close cooperation with CEN Trade, Revenue Management, and local Commercial Planning teams.
* Enhance Customer Experience and build loyalty over time by providing excellent service standards with a caring attitude.
* Develop the business pipeline by managing the existing portfolio, volume forecasting, and generating new customer opportunities.
* Ensure Customer Relationship Management tools (Salesforce.com) are consistently updated with high-quality data.
* Develop customer value propositions for all appropriate business opportunities, using effective market probing and needs identification to add value to customers’ businesses.
* Understand all service offerings to develop and offer integrated logistics solutions.
* Stay informed about industry trends and the competitive environment, providing feedback and collaborating on pricing and product strategies.
Customer acquisition focus: Penetrate our brand by developing a professional sales pitch based on our product differentiators to expand and create new business opportunities.
* We seek a sales professional with substantial experience and a strong understanding of multimodal and distribution business models.
* Experience in relevant industry departments is a plus.
* Strong negotiation skills with a hunter mindset, procurement tactics understanding, and excellent interpersonal skills to maintain good relationships.
* Ability to handle multiple stakeholders across vertical and horizontal levels, with multicultural backgrounds; prior international experience is a plus.
