SUMMARY

We are a U.S.-based Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that consolidates the operations of five global business divisions located in Korea, Ireland, France, and USA. The Director, Business Development (Viral Vector), will report to the Vice President – Business Development (CGT). The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of success in VV business development for a CDMO in the Life Science industry. The candidate should be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients. The candidate should be self-motivated and able to work in a dynamic environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Promote SKPT’s gene and cellular therapy services through active research and prospect/outreach to relevant pharma and biotech targets.
* Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships with key decision makers in the industry.
* Represent SKPT at relevant trade shows and conferences in Cell and Gene Therapy.
* Coordinate and develop proposals, contracts, and amendments, and renegotiate if necessary to ensure superior customer satisfaction and SKPT’s profitability.
* Maintain CRM with information to build reporting, data accuracy, and territory mapping.
* Cultivate strong, long-term, and strategic relationships with customers.
* Embrace the importance of close collaboration with fellow BD team members to focus on the same goals of growing revenue, earnings, and customer satisfaction.
* Analyze market trends, monitor performance metrics, and make necessary improvements and contribute towards the execution of the commercial strategy.
* Operate within SKPT’s budgets. Meet or exceed SKPT’s near and long-term revenue and earnings goals.
* Provide regular updates to Leadership on the sales pipeline, revenue projections, and market trends.
* Travel to client locations, conventions, and business units to build, maintain, and strengthen relationships.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in a life Science or related field.
* Minimum of 10 years’ experience in CGT business development at a CDMO in the Life Science industry.
* Strong understanding of the Life Science industry and market trends.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven track record of success in developing and closing new business opportunities.
* Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple projects to completion, and manage shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
* Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Proven ability to interact effectively cross-functionally and with subsidiaries.
* Willingness to travel as needed.
