We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled laboratory technician to join the Noncoding RNA and Cancer Genome Lab (link ) at the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA), University of Navarra (Pamplona, Spain).
This position, funded by the European Research Council (ERC), focuses on developing RNA-based therapies for cancer, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to translational research and receive training in knowledge transfer and innovation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in advancing our RNA therapeutics pipeline, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists.
Main responsibilities:
* Conduct in vivo preclinical studies, including generating and monitoring tumor xenografts and administering RNA-based treatments.
Experience with colon orthotopic models is a strong advantage.
* Perform molecular and cellular assays to characterize and validate novel RNA therapeutic targets.
* Contribute to protocol optimization and development of new experimental approaches.
* Support lab and project organization, including biobank maintenance, inventory management, and ordering supplies.
Profile:
* Science degree, technical diploma or equivalent.
* Demonstrated experience with mouse models (FELASA certification required).
* Strong hands-on skills in molecular biology; experience with RNA techniques is highly valued.
* Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and maintain accurate records.
* Good communication skills in English and a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
