In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and implementing the software platform strategy, ensuring the development, verification, and validation of robust, scalable, and innovative software solutions. Your mission is to lead the software platform team in delivering high-quality, standardized, and secure software that meets the evolving needs of our customers and aligns with the company’s strategic objectives.
Responsibilities Strategic Planning and Execution: Define and implement the Software platform strategy aligned with the company's vision and goals. Develop roadmaps for software development, ensuring alignment with product and market requirements.
Development Leadership: Lead the development team in designing, coding, and testing software. Ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and secure software solutions.
Verification and Validation: Oversee the verification and validation processes to ensure software meets all functional and performance specifications. Implement rigorous testing protocols and quality assurance practices.
Innovation and Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software performance, scalability, and security. Foster a culture of innovation within the software development team.
Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Program Management, IED R&D, Operations, Regions, to ensure cohesive product development. Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure software development adheres to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in systems and software technologies.
Team Development: Mentor and develop team members, promoting skill growth and professional development. Build a high-performing, motivated, and cohesive software development team. Drive continuous development of software engineering and validation competencies, ensuring alignment with emerging technologies and evolving business needs. Foster a high-performing and attractive work environment by attracting, developing, and retaining top software talent.
Responsibilities – Portfolio and Scope Software Frontend, Backend, Architecture, and DevOps ownership with direct reporting to the GridBeats R&D Leader, overseeing the GridBeats product roadmap.
Software Product Portfolio Includes: Digital Substation, System Configuration Tools (SCT), IED Configuration Tools (ICT), Next-Generation Grid Controller Platform, Asset Management, Asset Performance Management (APM), Device Management (DVM), Autonomous Distribution, Zonal Autonomous Control, Substation Monitoring, Cybersecurity.
Qualifications / Requirements Proven experience (10+ years) in software engineering leadership, with a strong background in software architecture, development, validation, and quality assurance across complex platforms.
Deep understanding of Agile at scale methodologies, particularly SAFe, with demonstrated success in leading cross-functional teams in a scaled agile environment.
Strong technical expertise in modern software technologies, development frameworks, and validation strategies, with the ability to guide architectural decisions and ensure technical excellence.
Track record of building and developing high-performing teams, including talent acquisition, coaching, and career development, aligned with evolving business and technology needs.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to align technical strategy with business objectives and influence at all levels of the organization.
Experience in driving continuous improvement and innovation, fostering a culture of quality, agility, and accountability.

Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and optimize systems
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field; certifications in SAFe or Agile leadership are a strong plus.
Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of protection and control segment for T&D. Understanding of industry standards, certifications, and security best practices for devices. Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, 60870-5, 62351, 62433-4-2.
Power System Product Design: Experience on developing Power System Products will be appreciated.
